Aeternus pays tribute to an eternal work ethic, and to a man who loved the land, his family and his work - Américo Amorim. Aeternus is a rare wine, produced in a hot and dry year from the centenary vineyards of the schistose slopes of Quinta Nova. Its character shapes its musculature, softens its texture, linearises its progression without taking away its irreverence. Then comes the complexity of aromas and nuances, balsamic, cedar, blue fruit, spice, schist. It is intense the energy that unites the firm structure with the silky texture and the robust and three-dimensional body. Rarely is it possible to appreciate such perfect harmonies. It then ends very long, dense and with great precision. Its production was limited to around 3500 bottles. Available to order!

Taylor's Tawnies Port wines
Port Wine is one of the best known and appreciated fortified wine. It is obtained by adding brandy at a specific time, before finishing the fermentation. This means that the wine will retain the natural sweetness of the grape, becoming rich, round and soft in the mouth. Produced in one of the oldest demarcated regions, Port wine owes its unique and distinct characteristics to a unique association of climate, soil, grape variety and tradition. The grapes, grown on the steep and rocky slopes that border the Douro River and its tributaries, most well known, include Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Amarela and Tinto Cão, but in total there are around thirty varieties of Port grape. The different styles of Port essentially derive from the various ways in which it can be aged, in wooden casks or in the bottle. This condition, as far as the way it is aged is concerned, will give the wine certain characteristics. Taylor's is one of the oldest Port Wine houses, which since 1692 has been dedicated exclusively to its production, and is therefore also one of the most prestigious Port Wine houses. Besides its magnificent Vintage Ports also its dated Tawny wines deserve to be highlighted. These are rich and complex wines, which age for longer periods in oak casks. Ageing in casks translates into delicious aromas of walnut, spice and oak wood intensify the longer they are aged in wood. Taylor's has one of the largest reserves of Tawny Port aged in wood, matured in its cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, and offers the full range of ages. Available to order! The 40 years of ageing in wood have concentrated this wine almost to an essence, producing intense and complex nutty and spicy aromas and a dense and concentrated palate full of rich mellow flavour. Tasting Notes: A sublime Port of very great age which shows the old olive-gold hue of its many years in cask. Decades of evaporation have concentrated this extraordinary wine to an exceptional density, with a powerful nose of dried fruit, honey and a touch of spice. Impressions of nutmeg, roasted coffee and an intense nuttiness converge both in the bouquet and on the palate. The wine’s rich, intense, voluptuous, almost viscous texture culminate in a finish of incredible length. Tasting Notes: Deep, old gold colour with hints of dried fruit and honey offsetting the rich nutty aromas. Lush, silky richness with an elegant, slightly austere quality which is quite distinctive. Subtle dried fruit flavours underly, exotic layers of caramel and nuts culminating in an endless finish. In the 20 Year Old tawny, the fruit has mellowed further than in the 10 Year Old, and the spicy, nutty aromas of ageing are more powerful and intense. Tasting Notes: Intense amber tawny colour. Opulent and voluptuous nose of complex spicy, jammy and nutty aromas, hints of orange flower and a fine oakiness coming from the long period of aging in cask. The palate is full of very rich and concentrated flavour and has a long mellow finish. Taylor’s 10 Year Old Tawny is a superb example of the aged tawny style. Mellow and elegant, combining delicate wood notes with rich aromas of mature fruit, it is bottled for immediate drinking. Tasting Notes: Deep brick colour with amber rim. Rich and elegant nose combining aromas of ripe berry fruit with a delicate nuttiness and subtle mellow notes of chocolate, butterscotch and fine oak wood. Smooth and silky on the palate and full of ripe figgy, jammy flavours which persist on the long finish. Taylor’s Fine Tawny is drawn from wines selected for their smoothness and mellow character. These are aged for up to three years in oak casks in Taylor’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. The individual wines are then blended together a few months before bottling for balance and completeness. Tasting Notes: Pale brick colour with broad amber rim. Mellow nose of succulent ripe berry fruit with aromas of butterscotch, figs and prunes interwoven with attractive nutty and spicy aromas. Smooth and round on the palate, full of rich strawberry jam flavours.

Herdade Aldeia de Cima: The wines are designed in the vineyard
Herdade Aldeia de Cima is Luisa Amorim's new project, responsible for managing the wines of Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo in the Douro and Taboadella in Dão. Although Herdade Aldeia de Cima has belonged to the Amorim family since 1994, it was not until 2017 that the decision to rebuild the property, together with the planting of a vineyard at levels in the Serra do Mendro, became a life project. The location of the estate, Serra do Mendro, has unique characteristics, which gives rise to a wide variety of microclimates and, consequently, micro terroirs. The vineyard will also differentiate the type of wines it will produce: The Alfaiates vineyard, the first to be planted, is located in spots of irregular geometry characterized by peaks and its sun exposure combined with an unusual thermal amplitude is essential to give the wine freshness. The Aldeya Vineyard and the Sant'Anna Vineyard will be born on the plateau. The soil will influence the structure, perfume and body of the wine. The Family Vine is a reproduction of the ancient agriculture, using an archaic training system, based on goblet vine training, the vines - that have no wire lattice-work and display a “crawling” appearance - are surrounded by the same micro-climate. On the estate, viticulture is practised in integrated production mode and later converted to organic production mode. Joaquim Faria is responsible for viticulture, Jorge Alves, as consultant, and António Carvalheiro, as resident, are the winemakers of the wines produced at Herdade Aldeia de Cima. Alyantiju and Herdade Aldeia de Cima Reserva are the first wines from this property.

The Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, a typical Alentejo estate, was bought by the Soares family in 1998. Wine production took shape in 2001 when they planted the first 20 hectares of vineyard, today the estate already has 35 hectares of vineyard. The grapes chosen for the red wines are: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Miúda, Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Baga. Antão Vaz, Arinto, Roupeiro, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Viognier, Petit Manseng and Alvarinho are the grape varieties selected for the production of white wines. The estate's oenology department is run by consultant oenologist Luis Duarte and resident oenologist Nuno Gonzalez. Monte da Peceguina, Malhadinha, Marias da Malhadinha, Menino António, Pequeno João and MM da Malhadinha include the whole range of wines produced by Herdade da Malhadinha Nova and, each one tells its own story. The difference and uniqueness are also marked by the labels, fruits of the creativity of the younger generation of the Soares family. The children named the wines and tenderly designed their labels. The wines of Malhadinha Nova are elegant, intensely fruity and very complex. They are the result of their respect for nature, their passion and their dedication. Available to purchase!

The grapes from its harvests are collected by specialists who give it the ideal treatment to obtain wines so exquisite that they conquer the most demanding palates. At Quinta Do Popa, they pay special attention even to the weather. Its grapes go through a maturation process under a sun with enough heat to give it that texture, color and flavor of its emblematic drinks. Besides, it is one of the few winemaker houses that has maintained the use of such sophisticated and traditional methods as the pisa a pie (traditional food treading), which ensures a better acquisition of the most delicious extracts of the fruit. All its raw materials are selected with great care. Its vineyards are protected and fed by the majesty of the Douro river, especially those considered heritage because of their 80 years of work. It is complex but fresh and elegant, and its flavor has hints of tobacco and wood. It is a tribute to Luis Pato.- Popa tinto Doce: It is a wine created in honor of the women of the family. Its color is deep violet and it smells of red berries and strawberry jam. It is fine and discreet, with a level of acidity that balances its flavors.- Quinta Do Popa HOMENAGEM: A tribute to Francisco Ferreira (PÔPA). It is a ruby colored wine. Its aroma is very diverse, with hints of menthol and notes of highly ripened fruit (blackberry and black plum). Vinha Paz - Five generations of wine producers
In 2002, the first Vinha Paz was born, whose name was inspired by the mother of António Canto Moniz, the producer. Vinha Paz is more than a wine, it is a family legacy with more than a century, passed from generation to generation. A story that began in the first granite wine cellar, built by the great-great-grandfather of António Canto Moniz, where, even today, wine is made in an ancient way but using modern technologies. And the story continued: his grandfather was the first president of the Federation of Viticulturists in Dão, his father developed cooperativism and was president of a cooperative winery and his younger brother was director of the Federation of Vinhos do Dão. The label's iconic image is of a gate at the Carreira Alta house, where her sister lives and the winery is located. Henrique, his son, is the current manager of Vinha Paz. With him, he continues this story of five generations of a family making wines with passion and personality, for over 150 years. In the Vinha Paz range, typical Dão grape varieties are used (touriga nacional, alfrocheiro, Tinta roriz and jaen, for reds; cross and malvasia, for whites). In the Vinha Paz range, there is a special wine, Othon, produced from old vines.

Quinta das Bágeiras Tribute wines
Quinta das Bágeiras is one of the most well-known and appreciated wine brands in the Bairrada region. Its producer, Mário Sérgio has always wanted to produce wines that reflect the quality and character of the region. In this way, Quinta das Bágeiras wines are made in the most natural way possible. Quinta das Bágeiras is one of the most well-known and appreciated wine brands in the Bairrada region. Its producer, Mári Sérgio has always wanted to produce wines that reflect the quality and character of the region. In this way, Quinta das Bágeiras wines are made in the most natural way possible The passion for winemaking by the family of Mário Sérgio. came to life through his grandfather Fausto. He was the first in the family to devote himself to the vineyard and the winery and he was the one who bought the first plots. He passed down his passion for the land to the generations that came after him, as well as the values he always stood by: hard-work, perseverance and integrity.Grandfather Fausto enjoyed elegant and fresh wines, with softer tannins and less alcohol content (thus allowing him to indulge in one more glass...). The wine named after him was created with these memories in mind, a wine which carries the simplicity and lightness of Fausto himself. Abel Nuno represents the second generation in the history of Quinta das Bágeiras. He was the one who took note of the best vineyard plots in Bairrada, small properties they have acquired over the last 25 years and, to this day, he is still the one who looks after them, in a wise, rigorous and caring way. This wine was created not only as an homage to Mário Sergio's father, but to the family as a whole. Abel always preferred wines with character, the strong and full structure of which make an impression and what they tried to accomplish here was a wine to his liking, white as well as red. Therefore, they also wanted to prove to themselves that it was possible to produce a great wine from vines that were "only" 15-years-old, but that are grown in an excellent terroir, mimicking the natural production of an old vineyard, through the mixture of grape varieties and the reduction of the younger vines' production. In 2017 Quinta das Bágeiras bottled 2000 bottles of its red reserve in a special edition commemorating the 30th anniversary of Quinta do Bill, a Portuguese folk-rock band. This red reserve is obtained from Baga grapes, from vines planted in the best clay-limestone soils in the region. Fermented in small mills, without destemming, it aged in new French 500 liter oak barrels for 18 months. Available for purchase!
