As producers and people passionate about winemaking, Julia kemper's mission is to encourage the passion for Dão’s wine throughout the world, in a differentiating, innovative way and in perfect harmony with Nature. Julia Kemper's mission is let people known the nobility, the elegance and the character of a wine that is still hidden by magnificent mountains. It is among the Dão mountains that its terroirs are found, in Quinta do Cruzeiro in Oliveira-Mangualde, where vineyards are treated with knowledge, delicacy and according to an organic and sustained agriculture. It is also in Quinta do Cruzeiro that Wine Cellar is set, where modern and ancestral grape treading techniques are aligned to transform the crops into fantastic wines, with a delicious acidity, floral aromas and delicate texture. Producing a high-quality vegan and organic wine implies extensive knowledge, constant work and learning; it implies, above all, dedication and an enormous passion. This passion has been in Melo Family for more than 400 years and its values have passed from generation to generation. Currently, Julia Kemper wines are sold in Portugal and throughout the world, preserving the noble grapes of the region: Touriga-Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz and Jaen, for the reds, and Encruzado, Malvasia-Fina and Verdelho, for the whites, besides keeping other varieties not fully identified in small quantities. The red wine JK Curiosity won the gold medal last February, at the Mundus Vini 2020 Contest. Available for purchase!
