Herdade da Malhadinha Nova - Wines that tell their stories

The Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, a typical Alentejo estate, was bought by the Soares family in 1998. Since then the family has been working hard to transform the abandoned lands into soils capable of bringing genuine Alentejan products to life - wine production and the raising of native animals in total harmony with Nature. Wine production took shape in 2001 when they planted the first 20 hectares of vineyard, today the estate already has 35 hectares of vineyard.  The grapes chosen for the red wines are: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Miúda, Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Baga. Antão Vaz, Arinto, Roupeiro, Chardonnay, Verdelho, Viognier, Petit Manseng and Alvarinho are the grape varieties selected for the production of white wines. The estate's oenology department is run by consultant oenologist Luis Duarte and resident oenologist Nuno Gonzalez. Monte da Peceguina, Malhadinha, Marias da Malhadinha, Menino António, Pequeno João and MM da Malhadinha include the whole range of wines produced by Herdade da Malhadinha Nova and, each one tells its own story. The difference and uniqueness are also marked by the labels, fruits of the creativity of the younger generation of the Soares family. The children named the wines and tenderly designed their labels. The wines of Malhadinha Nova are elegant, intensely fruity and very complex. They are the result of their respect for nature, their passion and their dedication. Available to purchase!
