New in store: Quinta do Todão

Quinta do Todão is located in the town of Gouvinhas, in the sub-region of Cima Corgo. It is a historic estate, with centuries-old references in Port wine. Its vineyard area extends over 50 hectares. The main building of Quinta do Todão is the Solar of Dr. Paulo Pizarro de Carvalho e Melo, descendant of the Marquês do Pombal, emblazoned house built in the 18th century. With rugged and deeply schist soil, it has, in addition to excellent wine and olive oil, a tasty orange and tangerine. jean-Hugues Gros is the oenologist responsible for this project and the grape varieties chosen for its production are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz for Tinto and Viosinho, Rabigato and Códega do Larinho for white. Quinta do Todão wines are a novelty in our store, but are already available to order!
