Mario Sergio is one of the best known producers in the Bairrada region. In 1989, this producer founded Quinta das Bágeiras, merging the vineyards of his grandfather Fausto with those of his maternal grandfather Armando. From that moment, with the support of his father Abel, the vineyard that produced wine sold in bulk to cellars in the region, were transformed into bottled wines under the brand Quinta das Bágeiras. The Quinta das Bágeiras brand forms the backbone of all products, reflecting the way of being in the wine industry. They are classic wines that use very traditional wine practices (and, in many cases, contradict the rules of "modern oenology") resulting from the experience and knowledge passed on and improved from generation to generation.
